From Washington state to NY down to Texas, all over the greater Indianapolis area, and as far as INDIA! THE FIRE IS SPREADING!
You may be wondering what tea, firefighter gear and a video link to people playing piano in Costco have in common. At first glance, nothing–right? I’ll try to break it down.
If you’ve ever had to fire someone or been fired yourself, you know how difficult it is on both sides. At the same time, I’ve seen those fired and those still on the team after the firing grows immensely as a result of this tough decision. FIRE is the third and final stage of the Tribal Inventory.
Last week we looked at Admire, the first stage of the Tribal Inventory. This week I want to talk about the second stage, Hire. When you look around at your Tribe, who are you lacking? Do you need someone to get you focused, keep you accountable, play devil’s advocate? Do you have a bunch of cheerleader’s but nobody to ask you the tough questions?
We all belong to several Tribes–work, family, friends, sports, fitness, school, church, growing up group–the list is endless. We know who we surround ourselves with is paramount if we want to be the best version of ourselves as possible. To that end, it is good to take stock of our tribe.
